So I’ve officialy been on a bra fitting crusade for about three months now. And I’ve converted many along the way, I’m sure of it. Aside from family and close friends, the message has been spread by my new converts as well.

And the message is: please get yourself fitted for a bra by a professional (i.e someone who has been trained). It makes a huge difference in your posture, your comfort, and your self-confidence.

Just recently, my sister has been bugging one of her friends to get fitted. Her friend, lets call her Susy, was sure she was a 34B. After much pestering, Susy finally went to a store to get fitted. Low-and-behold, she emerged a 32D on the other side! Now here’s the kicker, she got fitted at La Senze. While I’m not thrilled about that (they have such a limited size range, so they’ll put you in what they have available, not what actually fits you best), it’s definitively a huge step forward.

In the next week or so, I’ve promised a friend to take her to my favourite lingerie store (Inside Story in Oakville), I am convinced that she needs to go at least 2 cup sizes up and get a tighter band. So we’ll see where she ends up.

But for now, I am feeling pretty pleased with myself.

Also, in previous posts I mentioned a really pretty Canadian brand of lingerie called Blush.

I’ve searched high and low for my sizing.

I even called the company and they confirmed that they do indeed make bras up to an F cup. Blush even provided me with local businesses that should carry their stuff, but alas I have come home empty handed. I was told repeatedly that they don’t carry an E32; that’s a “specialty size”. Ugh.

So if anybody out there is listening, please order all the sizes from Blush. I will come and buy all of them. Well actually first I’ll try them on for size first…. but if they fit… I’ll buy them!
